Postdoctoral Research
We welcome hearing from creative, motivated, and independent individuals with an interest in postdoctoral research in skeletal biology, in vivo biomechanics, or musculoskeletal adaptation. Please send a CV and 1-2 page summary of your future research interests and accomplishments. Please include a list of three references and their contact information with these materials.
Potential Graduate Students
We are always looking for creative and independent students who are curious about musculoskeletal biomechanics, biology, and evolution. If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies in my lab, please send me an e-mail including a (1) CV or summary of your previous research experience, (2) copies of your transcripts (unofficial is fine), and (3) a statement summarizing your research interests for graduate school and your motivations for obtaining a PhD.
The lab accepts graduate students through four Purdue graduate programs:
- Basic Medical Sciences Graduate Program
- Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program
- Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program
- Purdue University Interdisciplinary Life Science Program (PULSe)
Further information on Graduate School at Purdue and admissions can be found here.
Undergraduate Research
One of the goals of the lab is to provide unique and formative research experiences for undergraduates. The best way to learn is by doing, through hands-on immersion in a research topic. If you are an undergraduate with interests in musculoskeletal biology and/or mechanics as these topics pertain to your field of study in biology, animal science, or biomedical and mechanical engineering, please send me an e-mail and include (1) a resume or CV, (2) a copy of your transcripts, and (3) a short statement describing your reasons for pursuing scientific research in my lab. Opportunities in support of undergraduate research at Purdue include:
